Honda CB Hornet 160R Vs Pulsar 160 NS BikeShikari

When we want to make the comparison review between CB Hornet 160R Vs Pulsar 160 NS, we must admit that these are the two top-rated bikes in Bangladesh right now in the 160cc segment. They are considered as the naked sports bike though if we look at their specifications, they are just updated naked standard category bikes. Within the reasonable price range, the young generation in BD are very fond of those bikes. They have one more companion here right now which is TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. But our today’s topic is to make the comparison review between Hornet and NS. So, let’s take a look below and based on the comparison between these bikes, you can make your own decision very well.

#Honda CB Hornet 160R Vs Pulsar 160 NS: Design Concept

At first, we want to make the comparison through the design. Pulsar NS is undoubtedly more eye-catchy and sharp looking than Hornet. It has muscular fuel tank with the extended kit attached. The handlebar is fully sporty with the double part seating position. The rear end is quite higher with the unique design engine guard. The exhaust is pretty small and compatible for the sports category. It has rear tyre guard noticed and makes the bike more appealing to young people.

On the other side, the bike Hornet has come after NS with a number of advanced features installed. The bike has sporty handlebar with bigger and muscular fuel tank. The shades of the bike are good but the seat is standard. The rear end is wide enough and the tail lamp is pretty attractive and X shaped. The engine is naked and no guard noticed. Considering the design, Pulsar 160 NS is more attractive no doubt.

#Honda CB Hornet Vs Bajaj Pulsar NS: Engine Quality

When we talk about the engine, Honda is a Japanese origin where Bajaj is the Indian brand. But here in BD, the people are very fond of the products of Bajaj for their reliable engine alongside Honda. In that case, we cannot keep one ahead of others. Hornet is powered by a 162.71cc engine that can generate more than 15 Bhp max power and 14.76 NM max torque.

The engine of Bajaj is also powered by a 160cc SOHC, oil-cooled, DTSi and four valve. The engine can generate 15.5 PS max power and 14.6 NM max torque. Both have the five-speed gearbox added though Hornet’s cooling system is air. Reportedly, the top speed of NS is much better than Hornet. Pulsar 160 NS can make more than 120 kmph top speed easily where Hornet’s speed would hardly touch 120 kmph so far.

# Other Features:

If we look for the other features, both have some advanced features included. At the beginning, both bikes have been launched with the same price tag but now, they are reduced. The kerb weight of NS is 142 KG and the weight of Hornet is 140 kg reportedly. The mileage of the CB Hornet is a little better hopefully. It can give more than 45 km average where NS used to give near about 42 km average mileage so far.
